Appendix 4.1.B: Doctrinal and Procedural Clarifications on Christians from Other Churches

This section emphasizes the importance of discernment and doctrinal alignment when receiving individuals from other churches into membership. The 60-day observation period provides time for establishing mutual understanding, spiritual unity, and ensuring that potential members fully grasp and embrace the church’s biblical doctrines and practices.

The continued requirement of believer’s baptism by immersion reflects the church’s adherence to historic Baptist convictions. However, compassionate provision is made for rare cases in which an individual is physically unable to be baptized. In such cases, credible evidence of salvation and a desire to unite with the church may still allow for membership recommendation by the Lead Pastor and/or Church Council, demonstrating both theological integrity and Pastoral care.
