What’s Happening at WHBC

November 13, 2025 Newsletter

Our Online Reach This Month

It’s encouraging to see how many people are interacting with WHBC and our ministries across various platforms. Here are the numbers from the last 28–30 days, listed from highest to lowest so you can see the bigger picture at a glance:

Corner Stone: 4,863 visitors
Facebook: 4,684 views
YouTube: 1,800 views
TikTok: 1,652 views
Website: 412 visitors
Google Listing:  153 profile views

TOTAL:  13,564 impressions

That's an average of 486 lives per day touched by the Gospel in some way.  And this does not factor in the immeasurable count of radio listeners every Sunday morning. These numbers show that outreach is happening every day, even when we don’t see it in person. Thousands are engaging with Scripture, sermons, devotionals, and Gospel-centered content, and God chose the location of Washington Heights Baptist Church from which to publish the Gospel to such a degree.  What a privilege and responsibility, for of whom much is given, much shall be required. Let’s keep praying that God uses every click, view, and visit for His glory, and that souls will be added to the church.  In due season we shall reap, if we faint not!

Member Follow-Up Ministry

Pastor Gary, Associate Pastor Lester, and Deacon Larry are now using a new cloud based church software program facilitated by Pastor Gary's website business at no cost to the church, in order to help us care well for our church family. Everyone has been placed into rotating groups so each leader can reach out personally throughout the quarter.
This is a ministry of prayer, encouragement, and connection. Expect calls, visits, or text messages meant to lift you up. Let’s pray together that God continues to move among us!

Pastor Lester’s Travels

Pastor Lester and his family will be traveling to Florida this weekend to visit loved ones. Pray for safe travels and refreshing time with family. They’ll be missed Sunday!

In Flight Missions Update
God is opening exciting doors for In Flight Missions (a ministry co-founded by Pastor Gary & Bro. Bryant Hernandez as an evangelistic arm to serve local churches - especially ours - and reach the lost)! Local pastors in our association have invited Bro. Bryant to share the vision for a collaborative outreach to the homeless in Augusta after the New Year. Faith Baptist (Pastor Chad Widener) and New Hope Baptist (Pastor Zach Washington) have already expressed interest in joining hands.

Because of these invitations, Bro. Bryant may be away speaking at other churches on some Sundays as he spreads the vision. This is a wonderful opportunity to build unity and partnerships across the body of Christ.

As plans come together among the participating churches, Washington Heights will be kept informed, and our involvement will simply follow as the Lord leads and as our people respond. When dates and details are finalized, everyone will have the chance to seek the Lord personally about how to participate, whether together as a church or individually.

We’re keeping this gracious, biblical, and full of expectation.
