Devil, The Blood Says You're WRONG!

In this sermon from Hebrews 12:24, Pastor Gary Caudill preaches the strong Bible truth that the blood of Jesus speaks better things than accusation, shame, fear, and condemnation. The devil has a voice, and he often uses the past, pain, memory, and criticism to accuse God’s people, but this message points believers back to the finished work of Christ and the better word spoken by His blood.

The sermon moves through Scripture to show that the devil is wrong about the believer’s past, position, peace, pain, and God’s promise. From Romans 8:1 to Philippians 1:6, the message reminds the church that condemnation has been answered, charges have been dismissed, thoughts can be brought under Christ, bitterness can be surrendered, and God will finish the work He began.

Questions and Answers

Quick sermon takeaways from Hebrews 12:24, focused on the blood of Jesus, the believer’s answer to accusation, and the better things spoken by Christ.

What is the main message of Devil, The Blood Says You’re WRONG?

The main message of this sermon is that the devil may accuse, but the blood of Jesus answers with better things. Pastor Gary Caudill preaches that the enemy may speak through the past, pain, memory, and shame, but Christ’s blood speaks redemption, forgiveness, mercy, and assurance for the believer.

What does Hebrews 12:24 mean when it says the blood speaketh better things?

Hebrews 12:24 says, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. In the sermon, Pastor Caudill contrasts Abel’s blood crying from the ground with Jesus’ blood speaking from the mercy seat. Abel’s blood cried judgment, but Jesus’ blood speaks mercy, redemption, forgiveness, and restoration.

How does Romans 8:1 answer the devil’s accusations about my past?

Romans 8:1 says, There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. This sermon teaches that the devil may remember what a person did, but he must face what Jesus did. The blood of Christ does not merely soften accusation. It destroys hell’s right to use the believer’s past as a weapon against the redeemed.

Can a Christian have peace when the devil attacks the mind?

Yes. Pastor Caudill points to Isaiah 26:3 and 2 Corinthians 10:5 to show that the believer’s mind can be brought under Christ. Isaiah 26:3 says, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. The sermon reminds believers that some thoughts are loud, but loud does not mean Lord.

What does the blood of Jesus say about pain, bitterness, and failure?

The sermon teaches that the blood of Jesus answers pain with mercy and failure with God’s continuing promise. Ephesians 4:31-32 calls believers to put away bitterness and forgive as God has forgiven them for Christ’s sake. Philippians 1:6 says, Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Trouble is not abandonment, weakness is not disqualification, and failure is not stronger than God’s covenant.
